room installation
january 2020

for the exhibition of our series (s)aint, wich is all about bangladesh, the religion  and the daily live over there, our goal was to take the visitor to bangladesh. since this type of corrugated iron hut is very common there, we've recreated one and installed it with the everyday sound of dhaka's streets.
In the capital dhaka, wich has a total of 20 million inhabitants, serval million people live in slums and therefore in such corrugated iron huts.
since all the paintings in the (s)aint series are rich in contrast, represent and make clear the conflicting aspects of the country, we also took up the dichotomy between poverty and wealth in this installation
...iron hut paradise...
