BRANDS CUT DOWN

concept #madeinbangladesh
from KIK to Burberry all these labels produce in the same factory's - NO NAME! no matter what brand, the workers invisible to us toil under inhuman conditions for a starvation wage that is not even enough to live. they often pay for the lack of safety at work with their lives... and this bloody handprint sticks to all these t-shirts produced in bangladesh...
is it worth it to you?
we think it's time to make this blood visible...
brands cut down is an anonymous guerrilla action that will start a rebellion. an art installation that brings the invented values of the different brands back to their origin. logos and labels are mercilessly embroidered with anti- capitalist slogans. these words become transformers of value. the blood red threat symbolizes the suffering of the for us invisible sewer. in the black white and red room installation you can see serval blood - smeared sewing machines wich produce tightly on the running assembly line. they leave an aggressive and piercing sound.
a process unknown to us suddenly becomes visible and perceptible to us...
the publication is about the demolition of an artificially applied value...
